About Kayla White, LPC, EMDR-Certified

I'm Kayla (she/her), a queer, neurodivergent, and chronically ill therapist. I specialize in trauma processing and recovery through a somatic lens, meaning I believe in the nervous system's innate ability to heal and regulate itself with a little guidance.

I received my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Texas (UNT) and have been practicing independently since 2019.

When I'm not working with clients, you can find me exploring local coffee shops, listening to music or a podcast, and spending time with my partner and our dog, Bailey.

About Bailey

This is Bailey, my sweet and charismatic Frenchie. In 2023, she developed IVDD, a degenerative disc disease that left her paralyzed in her hind legs. Don't let that fool you; she still has an incredible lust for life. From time to time, she joins me in session due to requiring care throughout the day. She loves to show off her cute diapers and brings a joyful and playful vibe everywhere she goes. She loves cheese, stuffed animals, and snuggling on the couch.

Bailey is a well-mannered personal pet and a source of comfort, but is not a formally registered or trained therapy dog. Her presence is entirely optional. If you have allergies, phobias, or simply prefer a pet-free session, please let me know, and we will work together to make other accommodations. Your therapeutic comfort and safety are my top priorities.
